buy Acomplia for weight loss now and enjoy the difference.

there is a famous quote Fat people are most liked people, after they loose their fat
so why not become smart and loved by all try acomplia then you will be hall of fame easily.

what is acomplia
Acomplia (rimonabant) is the first medication in a class known as endocannabinoid CB1 receptor antagonists to be approved in the UK. This makes Acomplia a revolutionary way of tackling obesity and it has been prescribed to over 100,000 people in Europe since its launch in June 2006.

Acomplia is a prescription medication so you must complete an online consultation form before you can purchase this medication. Consultations are free and you are under no obligation to make a purchase.

is acomplia safe and everyone can use?
Acomplia (Rimonabant) was tested on 6800 volunteers during the phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trials. The phase 3 trial lasted for two years and was compared with a placebo control group. Both groups were asked to increase their level of physical activity. It was demonstrated that those taking Acomplia lost on average 4 times more weight than those taking the placebo. Most of the weight loss occurred in the first 9 months of treatment but the weight loss was maintained until the end of the two year trial. Acomplia does not work for everyone but just over 50% managed a weight loss of 5% and approximately 27% managed a weight loss of 10% or more of their overall body weight.

will i get any problem or side effects with acomplia?

Acomplia (like all drugs) is not without potential side effects and it is not suitable for everyone. Acomplia has been linked to certain psychiatric side effects so it is important that we have accurate information in order to assess the risk to you before we prescribe any medication. If you would like to read further information on this medication before proceeding with a free consultation, please follow the link to Acomplia.

still do you have any doubts?
go to Acomplia page and you can see Free Weight Loss Consultation link at the bottom, click on it and get free consulation.

The best sexual intercourse lasts between seven and 13 minutes, according to a new survey by US experts.

According to the research, led by Dr Eric Corty, from the Behrend College in Erie, Pennsylvania, three-minute sex is ‘adequate’.

The study is the first to review what the experts believe is the ideal length of time to have penetrative sex, with the random sample of Americans and Canadians labeling seven to 13 minutes most ‘desirable’.

The study concluded that intercourse lasting between three and seven minutes was ‘adequate’, but anything less was ‘too short’ and beyond 13 minutes was ‘too long’.

The extraordinary research is designed to help calm couples’ unrealistic beliefs that healthy sex should last a long time.

Corty said that this was a situation “ripe for disappointment and dissatisfaction”.

“In the fantasy model of male sexuality, men have large penises, rock-hard erections, and can sustain sexual activity all night long,” News.com.au quoted Corty, as saying.

“It appears that many men and women hold this fantasy. The results from the present study, by providing a realistic not a fantasy model of sexuality, are useful both in treating people with sexual concerns and dysfunctions, and with wider circulation, in preventing the onset of sexual dysfunctions,” he added.

Reacting to the research, Australian sex therapists commented that most Aussie men wanted sex to last considerably longer while most women were ‘not bothered’ if it was over with fast.

Dr Jane Howard, a Brisbane-based medical sex therapist, said there was a dearth of data on Australians’ expectation of sex.

Anecdotal evidence suggested most Australian women would be happy with the therapists’ “adequate” time of three to seven minutes, while men would not.

The study is published in the international Journal of Sexual Medicine.

There is “still time to prevent” drug-resistant tuberculosis from causing the “hideous outcome” that has been seen with the HIV/AIDS pandemic, “but perhaps not much,” a Los Angeles Times editorial says in response to a recent World Health Organization report.

Drug-resistant TB is “no longer a disease that threatens mainly” people living with HIV/AIDS or impoverished populations in developing countries, the editorial says, adding, “It threatens us all.” Mario Raviglione, director of WHO’s Stop TB Department, said that drugs effective against extensively drug-resistant TB might be available by 2015 and that the disease in the meantime will inevitably spread, according to the editorial.

Despite the “panic last year caused by Andrew Speaker,” TB funding has “lagged,” the editorial says. WHO estimates that it has a $2.5 billion shortfall in TB control resources “despite increases in funding from the U.S., Britain and private donors,” the editorial says. Drug-resistant TB cannot and should not “be solved by the U.S. alone,” the editorial says, adding that “[o]il-rich Russia and relatively affluent China can certainly afford to treat their own infected populations.” The editorial concludes that both countries should be “exhorted to contribute more to the global fight against this awful disease” (Los Angeles Times, 2/28).

Japanese Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura on Friday announced that the country has pledged $184 million to the Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the Kyodo News/Japan Today reports. The new donation will bring the country’s total contribution to the Global Fund to $850 million, according to the ministry (Kyodo News/Japan Today, 2/29).

Japan announced its pledge ahead of hosting the Group of Eight industrialized nations’ summit in July in the northern resort of Toyako. Officials said they plan to put global health issues, including the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, at the top of the summit agenda. “Japan continues to support measures against infectious diseases on a global scale and to stress the role of the Global Fund to strengthen those measures towards developing countries,” the ministry said (AFP/Economic Times, 2/29).

“We are grateful to the Japanese people for their generosity in the fight against infectious diseases,” Global Fund Executive Director Michel Kazatchkine said in a statement. “The continuous support from the Japanese government to the Global Fund shows the country’s determination to help stem the spread of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria,” he said, adding, “We appreciate Japan’s trust in the Global Fund as an effective vehicle to reach millions of people infected with and affected by these pandemics” (Global Fund release, 2/29).

At a House Small Business Committee hearing on Tuesday, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) and Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell (D) discussed strategies proposed in their states that are intended to lower health care costs and expand coverage, CQ HealthBeat reports.

Pawlenty discussed several proposed pay-for-performance initiatives, including offering incentives to providers for adhering to treatment standards developed by the Mayo Clinic and other health care authorities. He said, “We can say to small and rural providers: ‘Here are the outcomes we expect; how you get there is part of the art of medicine.’” However, Pawlenty said, “We’re not ready yet, nor are the databases ready yet, nor is the delivery system ready yet to pay tribute for health care outcomes … in the meantime, as a proxy for outcomes, we want to pay for adherence to world-class standards.” Pawlenty also said that individual mandates are not necessary to establishing universal health coverage and that mandates “wind up criminalizing people.”

Rendell discussed his “Prescription for Pennsylvania” plan, which aims to make health insurance affordable for employers with up to 50 workers who earn less than the average state wage. Under the plan, employers would contribute $130 per month toward each worker’s premium. Small businesses that contribute to workers’ coverage would receive state subsidies, and workers would contribute to the cost of monthly premiums based on a sliding scale, Rendell said.

Committee Chair Nydia Velazquez (D-N.Y.) said, “I believe it is becoming increasingly clear that addressing the problem of the uninsured requires a focus on encouraging small businesses to offer health insurance coverage” (Cooley, CQ HealthBeat, 2/28).

The Obama health care proposal would require health insurance only for children.

At a Hanging Rock, Ohio, community center, Clinton said, “I want … each and every member of the family to have health insurance. My opponent only wants your children to have health insurance,” adding, “I don’t think that’s smart.” In addition, she said, “If you don’t have health insurance for everyone, we’re never going to get out of this,” adding, “We’re just going to keep running around in circles.”

Obama has “made health care a centerpiece of his domestic agenda” and also “has proposed a detailed plan to cover the uninsured, pledging to have affordable coverage available for all Americans by the end of his first term as president,” according to the Globe.

In response to questions about her statements at the community center, Clinton said, “The bottom line is he was not willing to go the distance with a universal health care plan. … I was drawing that distinction, and I think it’s a fair one.” She added, “He has a mandate to cover children. He does not have any requirement for adults.” Clinton also said, “He has said repeatedly that he is concerned about children. Well, I cover both children and adults, and I wanted to make the case today because I know this, having done this for so many years, that you can give your children health insurance, but if the mother or the father who’s the breadwinner can’t get health insurance, gets sick, can’t go to work, the whole family suffers” (Helman, Boston Globe, 2/29).

Poll
A new poll from NPR, the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Harvard School of Public Health examines public support for proposals that would require individuals to obtain health insurance, NPR’s “Morning Edition” reports (Knox, “Morning Edition,” NPR, 2/29). The poll, which was conducted by telephone from Feb. 14 to Feb. 24, includes responses from a nationally representative sample of 1,704 randomly selected U.S. residents ages 18 and older (”The Public on Requiring Individuals To Have Health Insurance,” NPR/Kaiser Family Foundation/Harvard School of Public Health, February 2008). The poll showed that most U.S. residents feel the issue of the uninsured is an important concern — 93% said the issue is a serious problem, including 74% who said it is a very serious problem.

About six in 10 people support a broad approach to ensure everyone has coverage that includes a requirement for individuals to get insurance or pay a fine, subsidies for people with lower incomes, a requirement on employers to contribute towards coverage for workers and a requirement that insurers take anyone that applies. About two-thirds also support another approach to expand coverage — a proposal that would require parents to get health insurance coverage for their children with government subsidies for lower income families. However, the public is more mixed, with about half supporting and about half opposing, on the specific question of an individual health insurance requirement that includes mentions of fines for non-compliance and subsidies for those with lower incomes, but no reference to expanded public programs and requirements on insurers and employers. The poll also looks at how support for the approaches varies among Democrats, Republicans and independents.

The segment included comments from Mollyann Brodie, a Kaiser Family Foundation vice president and director of Public Opinion and Media Research for the Foundation; Robert Blendon of the Harvard School of Public Health; and poll respondents (”Morning Edition,” NPR, 2/29).

Audio and a partial transcript of the segment are available online.

The full poll results are available online

Editorial, Opinion Piece
Summaries of a recent editorial and opinion piece on health care issues related to the presidential election appear below.

    * Akron Beacon Journal: The “similarities are striking” between the Clinton and Obama health care proposals, but only the Clinton plan would require all residents to obtain health insurance, a difference “much magnified” in the campaign, a Beacon Journal editorial states. According to the editorial, Obama is “inviting the belief that universal coverage can be achieved with relative ease and little pain.” Clinton, however, “rightly admits” that “some enforcement mechanism will be required to achieve universal coverage” and “correctly” argues that the “benefits of universal coverage for the whole far outweigh the plight of ‘free riders’” affected by such a mechanism, the editorial states. The “consensus among experts is that universal coverage will remain beyond reach without a mandate,” and a claim by Clinton that the Obama proposal would leave 15 million residents without coverage is supported by two “respected analyses,” according to the editorial. Clinton “has the more honest plan” for expansion of health insurance to all residents, the editorial concludes (Akron Beacon Journal, 2/28).

    * Scott Lehigh, Boston Globe: Health care “is a matter Clinton obviously cares deeply about and one she argues knowledgably and well,” Globe columnist Lehigh writes. According to Lehigh, her health care proposal, which would require all residents to obtain health insurance, has “won good reviews from experts,” and the Obama plan does not include such a requirement. “In comparison to the slippery going” on other issues in the campaign,” Clinton “has more traction on health care” because, despite “her unsuccessful 1994 health care battle, it’s an issue where her past position reinforces … her current stand,” Lehigh concludes (Lehigh, Boston Globe, 2/29).

Clinical Data, Inc. (NASDAQ:CLDA), a leader in the development of targeted therapeutics and predictive tests from its growing portfolio of proprietary genetic biomarkers, announced that its PGxHealth™ division has achieved significant growth in positive reimbursement policies for its FAMILION® genetic test for Long QT Syndrome (LQTS).

Since January 1, 2008, additional private health insurers have adopted positive reimbursement policies related to genetic testing for LQTS, resulting in a total of 65 million lives now covered by these policies, up from 49 million lives at the end of 2007. PGxHealth is now also an approved laboratory provider for Medicaid in 13 states, covering an additional 9 million lives. An additional 24 state Medicaid agencies have indicated that coverage is pending, and applications have been submitted to the remaining 13 states. PGxHealth is also an approved Medicare provider and the FAMILIONLQTS test is reimbursed by Medicare. Plans that have adopted positive coverage policies have determined that the FAMILIONLQTS test is medically necessary for certain patients.

“PGxHealth is committed to providing this important genetic test to patients and physicians, and we are investing significant resources to obtain insurance coverage for patients who need our LQTS test,” said Carol Reed, M.D., Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Clinical Data, Inc. “This growth in private insurance and Medicaid coverage reflects increasing payer acknowledgement of the test’s benefits and greater adoption among healthcare providers.”

In a recent related development, Clinical Data announced on February 5, 2008 that its FAMILIONLQTS test met the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association Technology Evaluation Center’s (TEC) criteria for establishing the diagnosis of LQTS in certain individuals.

In addition, a guideline issued in 2006 by the American College of Cardiology Foundation/American Heart Association Task Force on Practice Guidelines and the European Society of Cardiology Committee stated, “Genetic analysis is very important for identifying all mutation carriers within an LQTS family. Once identified, silent carriers of LQTS genetic defects may be treated with beta blockers for prophylaxis of life-threatening arrhythmias. Furthermore, silent mutation carriers should receive genetic counseling to learn about the risk of transmitting LQTS to offspring.” The guideline also stated, “In patients affected by LQTS, genetic analysis is useful for risk stratification and for making therapeutic decisions.”

About FAMILION®

The FAMILIONfamily of tests detect genetic mutations that can cause cardiac channelopathies. These are rare, potentially lethal heart conditions, including Long QT Syndrome (LQTS), Brugada Syndrome (BrS) and Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPVT).

By detecting genetic mutations, the FAMILIONtests can be used to recognize inherited forms of cardiac channelopathies in individuals and their families, helping to guide treatment and reduce the deadly cardiac events they can cause.

For cardiac channelopathies that have already been diagnosed, the test can help doctors and patients make more informed treatment decisions and aid in uncovering other possibly asymptomatic family members that may be at risk.

Regenerx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (Amex:Rgn) announced that Dr. Gabriel Sosne, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, MI, will be presenting data from a new study entitled, “Lipid Rafts and Actin Are Important for Thymosin Beta 4-Mediated Anti-Inflammatory Effects in the Cornea,” on Tuesday, April 29, at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. These findings further define the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of T?4 that have been reported by Dr. Sosne and others in numerous in vivo studies in the eye, skin, and heart.

Dr. Sosne has also received a $60,000 Physician-Scientist Award by Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB), “for his groundbreaking work studying a molecule that may lead to the healing of damaged eyes.” RPB is the world’s leading voluntary organization supporting eye research. Since its founding, RPB has channeled hundreds of millions of dollars to medical institutions for research into the causes, treatment and the prevention of blinding eye diseases.

“Today there is nothing available, pharmacologically, that stimulates wound healing in the cornea. In cases of damage related to diabetes or alkaline exposure, treatments have focused on creating an environment conducive to healing,” explained Dr. Sosne. “Thymosin Beta 4 may be the key to stimulating wound healing in the eye. It will change the way physicians treat eye injuries.”

About RegeneRx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc.

RegeneRx is focused on the discovery and development of novel molecules to accelerate tissue and organ repair. Currently, RegeneRx is developing three drug products, RGN-137, RGN-259 and RGN-352 for dermal, ophthalmic, and cardiovascular wound healing, respectively. These drug products are based on T?4, a 43-amino acid peptide, in part, under an exclusive world-wide license from the National Institutes of Health. Preliminary research suggests that T?4 may prove efficacious for multiple indications; therefore, RegeneRx is developing several drug products as part of a broad therapeutic platform. RegeneRx holds over 60 world-wide patents and patent applications related to dermal, ocular, and internal wounds and tissue repair, cardiac and neurological protection and injuries, septic shock and several consumer product areas. RegeneRx is currently sponsoring three Phase II chronic dermal wound healing clinical trials, a Phase II ophthalmic wound healing clinical trial, and a Phase I parenteral clinical trial in support of systemic administration of T?4 for its cardiovascular clinical development program.

The RegeneRx Technology Platform

T?4 is a synthetic version of a naturally occurring peptide present in virtually all human cells. It is a first-in-class drug candidate that promotes endothelial cell differentiation, angiogenesis in dermal tissues, keratinocyte migration, collagen deposition, and down-regulates inflammation. One of T?4’s key mechanisms of action is its ability to regulate the cell-building protein, actin, a vital component of cell structure and movement. Of the thousands of proteins in cells, actin represents up to 10% of the total protein and, thus, plays a major role in the physiology of the cell. RegeneRx has identified several molecular variations of T?4 that may affect the aging of skin, among other properties, and could be important candidates as active ingredients in pharmaceutical and consumer products. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health, and at other academic institutions throughout the U.S., have published numerous scientific articles indicating that T?4 is effective in accelerating dermal and corneal wound healing in several animal models, under a variety of conditions. In two articles published in the scientific journal, Nature, researchers found that T?4 protects heart tissue following a myocardial infarction and can regenerate coronary vessels in laboratory animals. A recent abstract presented at an American Heart Association meeting showed that in a porcine model T?4 is cardio-protective after reperfusion following ischemic injury. Abstracts of scientific papers related to T?4’s mechanisms of action may be viewed at RegeneRx’s web page: http://www.regenerx.com.
