Sex and Prostate Cancer
![]()
It can be a really disturbing situation when you are still very sexually active and have just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Most people in this situation always get very afraid, especially when their doctor mentions that they might eventually have prostate surgery.
They always feel that their sex life will be drastically and adversely affected after prostate cancer surgery. That’s even why some opt for the so-called “watchful waiting” instead of undergoing treatment. But is this concern real or it’s just a “False Evidence Appearing Real” (FEAR) occasioned concern?
While there’s a lot of FACTS associated with this fear, it’s not always true. There are still lots of people that still enjoy a sex life, despite their prostate cancer surgery. So – you shouldn’t think this is the end of your sex life because of the condition. It’s not… not the least.
If you are a woman in love with a man that has the condition, this is the time to express love and support for him. He needs your love and support now more than ever. You have so much love inside you that shouldn’t be wasted by worry or depression.
Instead of worrying and being depressed about the situation, you should take the time and effort to go the full length with him and let him know how much you love and support him. You will be amazed that such show of love and support can help him overcome the condition. Yes, lots of people have survived prostate cancer and your partner can survive it too.
