Mobile Mammography Services in India for Breast Cancer

September 20, 2007 – 1:19 am | posted in Breast Cancer

I’ve written about this before, but am ecstatic with some of the progress the world is making in combating cancer. India has announced that very soon the country will have their first mobile mammography service. This will especially serve the rural parts of India where most woman have never been checked for breast cancer because they have no way to received such attention or because they do not understand the importance of being checked annually. More of these services are needed in countries around the world and I hope governments and others will follow India’s lead by exploring services that will literally help many people avoid pain, heartache and premature death. This kind of news really makes me smile, onward and upward! :)
