NPA Members Offered Opportunity To Receive SMS And Email Alerts, UK

August 9, 2007 – 7:29 pm | posted in Pharma Industry

The NPA is offering its members the opportunity to receive email and SMS alerts free of charge. This new service from the NPA would provide drug alerts, updates on the drug tariff and detail new resources from the NPA.

The NPA believes that members would be likely to value such a service to ensure that they receive vital information immediately. Currently, most members receive drugs alerts through the post and by fax, which can be unreliable. Email and SMS text alerts will allow NPA members to receive information promptly, ensuring early action is taken on drug alerts and prescription endorsement.

Initially, NPA members will be able to sign up to receive up to five types of alert: drug alerts, NCSO’s, drug tariff changes, NPA resources and NPA news. Members can register their interest for these alerts by logging on to the NPA members’ website and clicking the ‘E-mail alerts’ button at the bottom left of the members’ home page.
