And The Winner Is…Medicare Australia
August 1, 2007 – 10:43 pm | posted in MedicareMedicare Australia’s commitment to outstanding service has been recognised at the 2007 Customer Service Institute of Australia’s (CSIA) Australian Service Excellence Awards.
Winner of two major categories - the National Service Charter category, as well as the Large Business category (for organisations with more than 500 staff), Medicare Australia recognises that great service is its heartbeat.
“This is an exciting time for Medicare Australia. Winning these prestigious and highly contested awards is testament to the hard work over many years to continually improve our services,” Medicare Australia Chief Executive Officer Catherine Argall said.
“We listen when the community tells us what they really want from Medicare Australia. The public and providers we serve said: ‘make it easy for me’, ‘get it right’, ‘be genuinely interested in me’ and ‘respect my rights’.
“We put their wishes at the heart of our charter of service.
“Our people take pride in providing friendly, timely and accurate service, protecting people’s privacy and making their interactions with Medicare Australia as easy as possible. We are strongly committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all Australians through the programs we administer.
“Our promise is that we will deliver great service to all Australians every time.
“And we follow through on this promise - as evident in the results of these awards. Our most recent annual community satisfaction research confirms that we are up there amongst the best with public satisfaction of 90 per cent.”
Ms Argall said that Medicare Australia is changing as the range of services it delivers continues to expand and evolve.
“The Australian public can be confident that our people will do their utmost to deliver great service,” she said.
“Our dedicated complaints service is there when things do go wrong - we follow through on this feedback and work to resolve the issues.”
