Unilever Recalls Pot Noodle Batches, UK
April 16, 2007 – 4:00 pm | posted in Nutrition / DietA number of Pot Noodle products on sale in the UK have been withdrawn from stores due to a packaging fault. Affected plastic pots may have developed cracks either in the base or the side wall, which could result in hot liquid leaking out.
As a precautionary measure, Unilever is advising all customers to check if they have bought any of the following products, sold as single units, with a Best Before End date of DEC 07 (located on the foil lid):
– Original Curry 95g
– King Pot Original Curry 119g
– King Pot Chicken and Mushroom 117g
– King Pot ‘Down with Salt’ Chicken and Mushroom 116g (but not standard Chicken and Mushroom 94g)
And, with a Best Before End date of NOV 07 and DEC 07:
– Beef and Tomato 96g
No other codes or varieties of Pot Noodle, or products sold as ‘Value 4 Packs’, are affected.
If you have bought an affected pack, you can phone 0800 146252 for a full refund.
Customers are advised by the company not to use the product and not to return the product to the shop. Unilever have apologised for the inconvenience caused to customers.
