Health Affairs Web Exclusive Examines Physician Use Of E-Prescribing
April 11, 2007 – 4:04 pm | posted in IT / Internet / E-mail, Primary Care“Physicians’ Experiences Using Commercial E-Prescribing Systems,” Health Affairs: In the Health Affairs Web exclusive, Joy Grossman, a senior health researcher at the Center for Studying Health System Change, and colleagues examine how physicians use electronic prescribing systems and detail barriers that prevent physicians from using some of the more advanced features, including product limitations and physician preferences. According to the study, there might be “substantial gaps” between how advocates believe such systems should be used and how physicians actually use them (Grossman et al., Health Affairs, 4/3).
