The Feed Law Enforcement Code of Practice (Great Britain) has been published.

The code of practice sets out instructions and criteria to which the local authorities - the feed authorities - should take note when enforcing animal feed law. Feed authorities must follow and implement the provisions of the code that apply to them.

The code of practice has been developed with the help of stakeholders, and the Food Standards Agency held a public consultation exercise on a revised draft on 3 July 2006. The Agency will keep the code of practice under review and amend it as necessary.
