“Health Reform Interrupted: The Unraveling of the Oregon Health Plan,” Health Affairs: In a Health Affairs Web exclusive, Jonathan Oberlander, an associate professor of social medicine and health policy and administration at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, examines how economic, political and budgetary pressures caused Oregon’s state-led health reform plan to lose ground after early success in providing coverage to the uninsured. He also discusses policy changes that might revive the plan, as well as implications of the Oregon Health Plan for state-led health reform nationwide (Oberlander, Health Affairs, 12/19).
