New Paradigm Health Systems, Inc. Introduces Rapid Blood Alcohol Reduction Product

December 9, 2006 – 5:10 pm | posted in Alcohol / Addiction

New Paradigm Health Systems, Inc. announced plans today to market a new dietary supplement branded as Sobrietol(R), which is designed to rapidly reduce blood alcohol.

When taken before, during or after alcohol consumption, Sobrietol(R) accelerates elimination of blood alcohol. At the same time, harmful metabolites are reduced. One of these metabolites is widely considered to be the primary cause of hangover symptoms.

Statistics show that hangovers cost the American economy more than $148 billion each year in lost production; light to moderate drinkers account for the majority of this loss. Even though over 40 products on the market claim to reduce hangover effects, none are based on a patented technology that brings down blood alcohol levels.

The technology was developed over a 10-year period. Continued research using the patented technology was financially supported in part by the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), one of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. David Whitmire is the primary inventor and a principal in New Paradigm Health Systems, Inc. The patent is owned by and licensed from the University of Georgia Research Foundation.
